Who we are
SnipBolt is a product developed by an individual legally domiciled in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The controller responsible for processing personal data can be contacted athola@snipbolt.com.
What data we collect
The desktop application (SnipBolt.exe) is 100% offline. It does not transmit your snippets, configuration, keyboard usage, or metadata about the applications where you type. All your information remains locally in %LocalAppData%\SnipBolt\.
The website (snipbolt.com) is static and does not use tracking cookies. To understand which pages are visited and where traffic comes from, we use Matomo Analyticsself-hosted on our own infrastructure(analytics.automatizar.uno) — no data goes to a third-party service such as Google Analytics or Meta. The configuration used is deliberately conservative:
- No cookies: Matomo runs in cookieless mode. Nothing is persisted in your browser between sessions.
- Anonymized IP: Matomo only stores the first two octets of your IP — enough to know which country visits come from, not enough to identify you.
- No heatmaps, no session recording, no Form Analytics.Only page views, click events on CTAs (Download, Buy Pro), and traffic referrers.
- Explicit opt-out: you can disable tracking with one click in the widget below. Your choice is saved in your browser.
If we ever expand the analytics configuration, this document will be updated and any material change will be notified.
Disable tracking
If you prefer not to contribute to the site's anonymous statistics, uncheck the box below. This does not affect your use of the website or the desktop application — it only disables sending page views to Matomo.
The Pro license purchase process is delegated toLemonSqueezy, which acts as Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy collects the data required to process payment (name, email, billing address, last four digits of the payment method). SnipBolt only receives: your email, your license key, and the purchased plan. That data is used exclusively to issue your license and let you recover it if you lose it.
What we use your data for
- Issue and send your license key after purchase.
- Let you resend your license key if you lose it (verifying against the email associated with the purchase).
- Respond to support requests you initiate by email.
- Comply with applicable accounting, tax, or legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. We do not use it for automated marketing or newsletters unless you explicitly subscribe.
Where your data is stored
Transactional data (email + license key) lives in a database managed by SnipBolt on servers located in the European Union or the U.S., depending on the hosting provider in place at the time of purchase. LemonSqueezy stores payment information in its own systems according to its privacy policy (United States).
Your rights (Law 25,326)
Under Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request the correction, update, or deletion of that data.
- Object to the processing of your data on legitimate grounds.
- File complaints with the Agency for Access to Public Information (aaip.gob.ar).
To exercise any of these rights, email me athola@snipbolt.com. We respond within the applicable legal deadlines.
Retention
We keep your transactional data while your license is active and for the additional period required by Argentine tax regulations (currently 10 years for accounting records). After that period, the data is deleted or anonymized.
Changes to this policy
Any significant update to this policy is published at this same URL with its revision date. If changes materially affect your rights or the processing of your data, customers with active licenses will be notified by email.
